Trilogy Entertainment is currently working with talent such as Robin Wright, Ron Shelton, Todd Robinson, and Stephen Susco on projects ranging from an action-adventure swashbuckler to the true story of a Vietnam congressional medal winner.  From our active slate of priority projects, THE LAST FULL MEASURE has attracted all-star cast interest that includes Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Robert Duvall, Laurence Fishburne, Andy Garcia and Bruce Willis, from a screenplay written and to be directed by Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts, White Squall); the terrifying BLOOD CRAZY is an adaptation of the internationally best selling thriller book by Simon Clark; AN INFINITY OF MIRRORS is the ultimate conflict of interest love story, adapted from the acclaimed novel by Richard Condon (The Manchurian Candidate, Prizzi’s Honor); ROGUE is a partnership between Trilogy Entertainment Group and actor Robin Wright’s newly formed production company, Wcu3e Films, original screenplay written and to be directed by Trilogy partner Pen Densham, set in an inventive steam-punk 1700’s England about the King’s very first secret agent.  These, and Trilogy’s other current projects keep with Trilogy’s track-record of eclectic and inventive crowd-pleasing entertainment. 

Founded by John Watson and Pen Densham, the Trilogy Entertainment Group exploded onto the Hollywood scene with back-to-back hits; ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES and BACKDRAFT. Since then, their multi-faceted company has produced an additional fourteen motion pictures, seven major TV series, and several high-profile TV movies and mini-series.

British born, Densham and Watson are British, Canadian, and United States citizens, and are also a triple threat, in that they can write, produce and direct their films. Prior to founding Trilogy, Pen and John won over 70 International Awards, including two Oscar™ nominations for their educational films and documentaries. Trilogy keeps a Canadian presence through Trilogy North.

Trilogy's track record of produced theatrical features includes such films as BLOWN AWAY , TANK GIRL , LARGER THAN LIFE , MOLL FLANDERS (written and directed by Pen Densham) and THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF ALTAR BOYS . John and Pen co-wrote and produced ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES which generated over $500 million in worldwide box-office, record breaking for that time, and followed up the same year with BACKDRAFT, which they developed and produced. ROBIN HOOD became one of the most successful films in the history of Warner Bros. and spun off the #1 music single of all time from Bryan Adams (“Everything I Do, I Do It For You”). BACKDRAFT generated one of the longest-lasting attractions at Universal Studios Tour. They have collaborated with A-list talent, including Morgan Freeman, Bill Murray, Robin Wright Penn, Jodie Foster, Tommy Lee Jones, Jeff Bridges, Robert DeNiro, Kurt Russell, and Kevin Costner.

Most recently, the team released their comedy feature, JUST BURIED, written and directed by Chaz Thorne, and starring Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon, Tropic Thunder), Rose Byrne (28 Weeks Later, Damages), and Graham Greene (Oscar nominee for Dances With Wolves). Shooting took place on-location in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The company has developed a genre label, (originally in association with United Artists) called PROJECT X , aimed at the youth audience.

Television Division

Trilogy has produced more than 400 hours of network and prime time programming. In 2003, the company completed production on the 7 th season of THE OUTER LIMITS , the number one rated show, first on SHOWTIME then on the SCI-FI Channel. The Outer Limits is the longest-running anthology series in the history of television. They followed up by reviving the revered TV series THE TWILIGHT ZONE for UPN. The company has had seven series on air, and numerous movies for television and mini-series; and has received three Emmy ™ Awards, as well as multiple CableAce, Saturn, Gemini and Golden Reel Awards. Densham and Watson have written or created much of the television product, and have personally run the shows.

Trilogy produced: for CBS, two seasons of THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, and SPACE RANGERS ; for UPN, 44 episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE ; for TNT, the movies HOUDINI (written and directed by Densham) and BUFFALO SOLDIERS ; for SHOWTIME, four seasons of POLTERGEIST: THE LEGACY ; for MGM syndication, 22 episodes of FAME-LA ; for NBC, a 3-hour special event of Stephen King's CARRIE ; for ABC, the four-hour mini-series of PETER BENCHLEY'S THE CREATURE and a re-make of THE TAKING OF PELHAM 1-2-3; for FOX, the television movie LIFEPOD ; and for USA, the television movie BROTHER'S KEEPER .

The company is presently developing 3 new internally-created projects.  FERGUS THE TALKING FIRETRUCK is a preschool series about teaching altruism, sharing, and problem solving.  AIRHEAD follows the misadventures of a young Water Mitty type, a kid whose imagination is larger than his body. He is constantly getting into trouble when his imagination carries him beyond others his age.  THE DIFFERENCE is our world in the near, but radically altered future, where the balance of world power shifts as random people find themselves overcome with the ability to perform real magic.
